Its Autumn Glory Weekend in Garrett County, Maryland. Whether you can visit Deep Creek Lake or the Oakland Arts & Entertainment District this weekend or not, you can view SEYMOUR, a virtual artist marketplace.
Featuring Garrett County Artists
SEYMOUR, at www.seymourart.org, features the work of over twenty artists from the area. If you’re in town, they have a public art unveiling in the Oakland A&E District, where artists pair up with local businesses. Read more about this virtual marketplace here.
Program partners include Simon Pearce Glassblowing, Oakland, MD, Maryland State Arts Council, Rural Maryland Council and Garrett County Government.
The Gallery Shop, home of the Garrett County Arts Council, in Oakland, Maryland is now open by appointment. They are also open to the public on certain days of the week. Follow their Facebook page to make an appointment or learn about upcoming walk-in hours.
Heading Up is my latest piece to hang in the shop. I encourage you to visit and support this shop, where you can view art from many talented artists in Garrett County.
